These little treats are fudgy, chocolatey, and ridiculously simple to make. Perfect for a Galentine’s get-together, a quick-and-easy dessert, or a sweet surprise for loved ones. They’re also a great way to use up those ripe bananas sitting on the counter – turning them into something indulgent, no baking required.
Ingredients:
1 ½ punnets of strawberries
4 ripe bananas
600g of chocolate (milk, dark, or a mix)
Method:
Melt the chocolate: Break the chocolate into chunks and melt until glossy – either in the microwave in short bursts or over a double boiler (or bain-marie).
Blend it up: Add the melted chocolate and bananas to a food processor or blender, and blitz until smooth.
Arrange the strawberries: Line your container (we used an 18 x 23cm glass dish) with parchment paper, then place the strawberries evenly across the bottom.
Pour in the mixture: Spoon the chocolate-banana mixture evenly over the strawberries.
Freeze: Pop the tray in the freezer for approximately 4 hours, or until firm.
Cut and serve: Lift the set mixture out of the container and cut into bite-sized pieces. Store in an airtight container in the fridge, or dig in immediately!
Optional extras: Add a handful of crushed nuts, coconut flakes, or a sprinkle of sea salt for extra pizazz.
