When we launched our first range of gingham linen bedding last summer, we were unsure whether it would resonate with our loyal community of comfort lovers - though of course, ever hopeful! It was such a joy to see the instant positive reaction to our first foray into patterned bedlinen, and the subsequent images and videos that popped up across Instagram of our gingham sheets in people's homes.
In order to build on the theme of nostalgic patterns and prints that remind you of fond memories at your grandmother's house, we knew that we wanted to experiment with florals for 2023, and what better way to do it than to give a new lease of life to a design buried deep within an archive? Enter: The Design Library.
Rhiannon our Head of Brand at The Design Library in London
The Design Library is the world's largest collection of documentary fabrics, paintings, prints and patterns, with locations in upstate New York and London. We visited the London collection last year and had the extremely fun task of sifting through hundreds of archival designs in order to source a floral print that felt both nostalgic and in keeping with our 'Made for Living' ethos.

It was love at first sight when we discovered the two prints that would soon become known as 'Spring Sprig' and 'Meadow', both of which evoke the warmth and comfort of your grandmother's English cottage. Taking each design, we updated them for a home setting through a uniquely Piglet colour palette. 'Spring Sprig' features a singular dainty sprig motif that is repeated across the cotton percale sheets, pillowcases and duvet cover options, while our 'Meadow' range features a cluster of florals, reminiscent of, well, just that: a meadow!

Our Meadow range is available in three colourways, soft green Pear, reddish-pink Red Dune and warm toffee-toned, Butterscotch. Both collections are made from 100% cotton that has been sustainably-sourced in partnership with the Better Cotton Initiative, the world’s leading sustainability initiative for cotton. The cotton pillowcases and duvet covers feature a classic Oxford border, and the cotton duvet covers also feature buttons made from Corozo, a natural material made from the nuts of Tagua trees that is harvested naturally to avoid deforestation.

Both Spring Sprig and Meadow are versatile by nature and designed so that you can go all out floral or introduce them in a subtle way by mixing and matching with five new colours in our plain washed cotton percale bedding range: French Rose, Butterscotch, Red Dune, Pear and Parchment.
